The Autonomous Actor (DAS), a project initiated by LUST, aims to research artistic autonomy for actors within contemporary theatre. The project launch seminar consists of a Key Note on the topic: When visual dramaturgy is disintegrating hierarchy by prof. Knut Ove Arntzen followed by a discussion and a presentation of the project. The seminar was primarily in English and Swedish.
Knut Ove Arntzen is a critic, writer, researcher and professor of theatre studies at the University of Bergen. He has worked with the Les 20 Jours du Théâte â Risque festival in Québec and is international research councellor to the Bergen International Theatre, and is giving workshops in postmodern theatre and performance and dramaturgy. His latest books are on directing in ambient theatre and on the Norwegian theatre- and performance-collectivity.
