HEIDI52の二つの作品の撮影は、展示場所の画廊と大阪市内に残る江戸時代に建てられた屋敷と、三重県の山と干潟で行われた。この「Flower」では、屋敷の入り口で、即興でモノローグを語るところから始まる。家人も開けた事のない屋根裏には、櫃と時間の体積の埃がテーブルに積もっている。小さな明かり取りの隙間から光が入り、自然の風景の中へと画面は入ってゆく。干潟を小舟でわたり「ハイジ」は広々としたところで行李の上に寝る。この行李は、もう一つの作品「Black and White」と関連づける「寓意の入れ物」として作用する。

冒頭で、作者の家族の遺品の行李から人物が現れる。二人の人物が小売から出してきた経本（観無量寿経）を開いてゆく。真っ白の空間は、多分にSF的で、時間が止まっている。この行李は、「Flower」で使われる小道具が入っており、二つの作品をまたいで登場する。数々の木製のスツールは、作者が会う事のなかった人物による大量の制作物の一部で、遺品として分け与えられたものである。作者の遺品と他者の遺品、遺棄された建物の関わりに着目点を置いた作品である。「Flower」は、曲面スクリーンに、マッピングプロジェクションによる投影を試みた。

This work was staged in three different sites––the gallery space where the work was exhibited, an old residence in Osaka dating back to the Edo period, and in the mountains and tidal flats of Mie prefecture. “Flower” begins with an impromptu monologue by the artist at the entrance of the residence. In the attic, where even the current owners of the house have not set foot, a mound of dust accumulates on the table suggesting the passage of time. Light streams through the narrow skylight and the camera moves into the natural scenery outside. In the beginning of “None” in Heidi 53, a figure emerges from inside a trunk, an article left by the deceased family of the artist. The same trunk also makes an appearance in “Flower”, acting as a receptacle for the various props handled by the artist. The numerous wooden stools were part of the many artworks left by a certain figure that the artist never had a chance to meet, but inherited as a memento. This work places its focus on the dialogue between the memento of the artist’s family, the deceased stranger, and the abandoned building. “Flower” was projected on a curved screen, employing projection-mapping technology.
