Matt Pallet spent 6 days testing 2 new Davey Surfboards, Uncle Fester and Stumpy.
"Yeah I didn't look at the swell forcast or anything, Rodd Davey basically said I should come and test some new boards he shaped and make a video of it, I hopped on a flight and stayed with my parents for a week and filmed. After 3 days of difficult conditions to both film and surf, a swell was going up the coast and we followed it, unfortunately the best day we hardly got any clips because it was so crowded and the waves were so long my dad had no idea where I was so he couldn't film. But the day after was smaller and not great but no-one was out and I got a few clips.
As Far as the boards go, they both went really well, the Uncle Fester was a great everyday shortboard that has a lot of speed, and the Stumpy, made for smaller waves, blew my mind in weak little waves, it gains speed out of nowhere on the shittest waves and is so lively, I loved that board, it made a really lame day extremely fun, so I kept it and ordered another one, I would have kept Uncle Fester too but I had no more space left in my board bag, for some reason I brought 3 boards of my own, didn't use them, not sure why I brought them." - Matt Pallet
