When various actions are performed, automatic approval tasks may be sent out to those responsible for the user or business element on which the action was performed. If the person who is assigned the task is not available, or the responsibility for it has changed to someone else after the action was performed, the task can be reassigned by the currently assigned user, a super user, or an administrator.
To reassign an approval task, open the ‘my tasks’ list or go to the approvals page and select the list where the approval task is shown. The user currently assigned to handle the task will be shown in the ‘Assigned to’ column. Click on their name and select the ‘Reassign Approval Task’ option. Start typing the name or ID of the user who will take over the task and select them from the list. Type a comment for the user to explain the task or why it is being reassigned to them. Check that the information is correct, and then click OK to finish reassigning the task.
