This is a video I made for Cave CrossFit, which is where I work out in Los Angeles. Cave entered this video in a worldwide CrossFit video contest called, "Before and After: An Affiliate Owner's Story." The idea was to tell the story of how the owners of each gym got started in CrossFit and why they decided to launch their own "box," which is just a CrossFit word for "gym."
This video was a lot of fun to shoot, as I got to spend a bunch of time with Brian Jaffe and Zee Brod, the owners of the gym. Both are awesome coaches and better dudes.
I used a good amount of archival footage from Cave's early days (when they used to train classes in a garage) and from several CrossFit events. I shot and edited everything else.
