For the 4th of July weekend, we were looking for something fun to do for the kids (Ayden 3 and Dylan 10 months). Apparently Ayden was going to enjoy the trip more!
Oakland Zoo Review:
The last Zoo I visited was the SF Zoo a few years ago before we had kids. I recommend visiting both. I really enjoyed the penguin and dolphin exhibit at the SF Soo, so it was a different experience.
The Oakland Zoo was a pleasure to visit since this was our first time! We went around 10:30am on July 3rd and we were worried about parking because of the weekend and the grand opening of Wild Australia. When we arrived, we found a great parking spot close to the entrance and it wasn't too crowded. In fact, every exhibit was accessible to little kids for that reason.
My son had the most fun at the Children's zoo. I highly recommend anyone to visit. I just wish we bought the discounted season pass when it was available. Visit oaklandzoo.org for more info.
Quick iMovie for iPhone review:
All the movies and photos in this video are from the iPhone 4.
I started the edit with the iMovie 1.0. The edits were easy to do, but I notices some significant pixelation on the video footage from the front facing camera. Then I couldn't export since it kept on crashing!
Since I have updated to the latest version with bug fixes, I was able to create this export to share. I was amazed at how easy it was to edit on the little device and even more amazed at how far technology has come. I hope Apple continues to create more snazzy themes as it really adds a professional touch to the videos.
Now I don't have an excuse to have unedited videos sitting untouched on my hard drive. I can edit HD video on the go, and typically have the edits done by the time I get home to upload to share with Family and Friends. How cool is that? :-)
Music: I just did a quick search on my itunes library to see what would match the 8 minute duration of the video.
"Adeus Maria Fulo" by Dom Um Romao (Brazilian music seems to fit these type of videos)
