The Guardian idea / story is the brainchild of Andy Turner. The pilot episode has been co-written with Ritchie Johnson a talented new writer from Leeds who originates from Norfolk.
I came up with the idea some 18months ago and approached Ritchie to help write it at the beginning of 2015. I have been working on the project since the start of 2015 pulling together actors, crew and other people keen on helping in whatever way they can.
The pilot should be approximately 25 minutes in length and will be filmed from June to September. Editing of the film is hoped to be finished by November/December.
The film is being done on no budget with all actors and crew volunteers. In terms of what we do with the finished pilot is open at the moment. The worst case scenario would be to release it straight to the internet. However our best case scenario would be to get it commissioned in some way for TV. We are keen to produce the best finished article that we can, and we are confident that the pilot will be well received as it is a great story and the characters will appeal to the audience. Also we have some fantastic ideas of how the characters and the story can be developed for further episodes.
At the end of the day we are producing this because we all love making films, any by-product from that is a bonus.
