The boys at the office entered a few animations into the metromint contest through a mutual friend. It's an interesting exercise to see what kind of animation you can produce in a few hours.
I attempted to make a handmade-feeling and fun exploration of the source flavors for the water. I also tried to make a piece that construed more toward the metromint demographic.
Technically: I used trapcode's particular for the mint fireworks, modeled the chocolate bar in c4d, and set up a little null rig for the oranges, and used the video gogh plugin from re:vision. I was building each scene as simply as I could with the intention of turning each one into a demo.
Here is Alexander's animation, which is exactly eight thousand times wittier then mine, and additionally I am blown away he made the whole thing in 4 hours. It was directed by his nom de pleur Alistair Wu.
