A short film about Freedom.

At many monuments here in Thailand there are vendors offering Birds for Merit. I didn’t hope to get any actual merit from releasing the birds, but I knew my $12 could release these 9 birds from their cramped cage.
I recently got an iPhone 6 and though I have used phones in the past to make decent photos, I was curious about it’s capabilities as an actual story telling machine. The iPhone 6 is capable of shooting 240fps at 720p. Pretty impressive considering my GH4 only shoots 96fps albeit at 1080p.
This was my first test of the iPhone 6 for an actual video application. I’m quite happy with the results. The footage doesn’t hold together well for intense post correction, however light tweaks do not seem to harm the quality too badly. My workflow is below for those who are interested.
Shot on iPhone 6 at 240 fps. Imported directly into Premiere. Contrast, Brightness, Saturation, and Sharpness adjusted slightly. Exported in H.264 at 20mbps.
