This webinar focuses on Harvest of the Month (HOTM), a general model to deliver education to students around a particular produce item highlighted each month. School Districts across California have taken this general model and expanded, enhanced and modified it to fit their school environment and district goals.
The California Farm to School Network welcomes three farm to school advocates throughout the state, who are leading and implementing unique Harvest of the Month models in their nearby school districts. These speakers highlight success and acknowledge challenges with HOTM, all of which will be useful for your programming. These presenters and presentations include:
Terri Spezzano, County Director and Nutrition, Family, and Consumer Science Advisor with UCCE Stanislaus -- Local Foods - The Roots of a Healthy Community
Dana Kent, RD and SNAP-Ed Project Director with Lake County Local Health Department -- SNAP-Ed Lake County HOTM Program
Angie Corwin, Farm to School Coordinator with CAFF North Coast -- HOTM Revenue Generating Model
