EA Active approached me in the spring to come up with a new concept for their very popular Wii exercise game. Their approach was for a more natural feeling, one that gives you the rush of a workout. I developed a treatment and marketing liked it but wanted to see a test. That week I grabbed a Canon Mark2 and shot a sequence. I then gathered the CG environment from the Active team and set about blending the test shoot into the game world. The marketing team loved the test but in the end decided to go for a safer route and have the girl work out in the real world instead of a virtual one.
