This scratch animation film was made in 1968 using a needle on black 16mm leader film and then colouring with marker pens. The sound was also made by scratching along the optical track on the side of the film. I would first make a section of sound and then listen to it and create an image to represent that sound. I continued this process in my spare time over the course of a few months. After I made it the film it was shown at the famed Arts Lab in London and then not shown again until 2005 for an arts co-op in Michigan.
