It always shocks and saddens us when we hear of a child's death from an overheated car. We find it hard to understand how a parent can forget that their child is in the car when they walk away. At the encouragement of Crawford Co. Health Director Gloria Wall, who is always concerned with the communities health, Midwest News decided to dramatize with a video, the how and why these tragic events occur.
A article by Rachael Rettner of Live Science stated, “that since 1998, an average of 37 U.S. Children have died each year when they were left in cars that overheated.” The video is based on some of the material in Ms. Retter's article. midwestnews.net
