What’s it like to be stuck in a very wealthy country without a penny in your pocket? What is it like to live in constant fear of deportation while not being allowed to work, or do any volunteer work?
Around 220 refugees in Amsterdam have formed a group to challenge the Dutch government’s decision to ignore even the most basic human rights regarding food and shelter. Eighty percent of the group has been in detention more than once and then sent back to the streets because they could not be deported.

Director Alexandra Jansse portrays the pretzel-logic and bureaucratic voodoo practiced by the Dutch government on political asylum-seekers, as we go on a nerve-wracking rollercoaster ride between the hopes and fears of a group of rejected political refugees in Amsterdam.
