We drove up to Joshua Tree National Park to create star lapses. We recorded the movement of the stars over about 4 hours the evening of Jul 11-12, 2010. The initial segment the camera was pointed towards the North Star and you can watch the progress of the Big Dipper moving across the sky. The second segment you can watch the Milky Way moving across the sky and the rise of Jupiter.
This is the first time I attempted to do star lapses. Unfortunately I gathered only half the number of photos I expected so I will need to figure out why.
I hope you enjoy the show.
