In certain areas of Brussels, there are vacant buildings that remain in construction purgatory, which result in a stain on the neighbourhood and frustrated locals who want things to move forward. This situation was described further by Jean-Lucien Guillaume, an artist who has been working on urban projects in Brussels. Guillaume and other artists have set up their workshops on a previously abandoned laneway and succeeded in slowly transforming the character of the space, despite a decaying building at the entrance of their street.
