Every Mother Counts presents a new three-part, short film series, “Giving Birth in America” – which examines some of the reasons that the U.S. is falling so far behind in maternal healthcare. The U.S. has the worst outcomes of any industrialized nation and is one of only eight countries where maternal deaths are increasing. The "Giving Birth In America" series follows pregnant women living in New York, Florida and Montana to document the final weeks of their pregnancies and examine their healthcare options.
