The data was digitally recorded using a custom designed app and later amalgamated for the culminating art installations at multiple locations in Tysons including Greensboro Park. Respondents who participated in the artist designed community activities will be able to locate their tile in the ground mural installations and learn more about their community. The art installations will be on public display June 25 until August 3, 2015.
This video illustrates the work of Severn Graphics and Julia Vogl installing the 5,300 square foot ground mural. The art was printed on alumigraphics, which is an aluminium based vinyl. The 48'' wide rolls were aligned to match up and created a seamless mural. The work was installed over 3 days, from sunrise into mid afternoon heat. The filming was made on a Gopro and edited and compiled by Jenna Van Elling.
