The Virtual Warsaw team is developing the world’s first beacon-based urban navigation system, which will connect a smartphone app with thousands of beacons located around the city to support visually impaired people to get around independently.
To understand how, not just the app, but the whole system will support visually impaired people to achieve independence, the team produced a service user journey map. User journey mapping is a useful tool to step into the shoes of different user groups, and to describe step by step their interactions with a service.
Simple user journey mapping templates can be found here: servicedesigntools.org/tools/8
