Khenpo Yeshi spent many years in India studying at monasteries belonging to a variety of traditions. After completing a three-year retreat under Tulku Ugyen Rinpoche, Khenpo Yeshi taught at Ranging Yeshi Institute for four years. In December 2001, Khenpo Yeshi moved to America where he progressed from Alameda Adult School to De Anza Community College, earned admission into many universities, and completed a BA in Religious Studies from UC Berkeley in 2012.
Khenpo Yeshi is currently completing his MA at UC Berkeley. His thesis will include a translation of the recently rediscovered "Eleven Topics" by Nyima Bum (1157-1213) and a study of its relationship with Longchen Rabjam's (1308-1364) "The Treasury of Word and Meaning".
