King County continues its work to expand, improve and connect its world class 175-mile regional trail system to enhance the region’s quality of life and meet the needs of a growing population. King County Parks has now opened a newly-paved 2.6-mile segment of the 11-mile East Lake Sammamish Trail and the positive reviews are coming in. The East Lake Sammamish Trail, once completed, will be part of a 44-mile-long regional urban trail corridor from Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood to Issaquah and beyond to the Cascade Foothills.
