A motorcade of some 200 vehicles followed the hearse for 90 minutes as the procession traveled at 40 mph along Highway 299 to Burney. Law enforcement officers estimated the crowd along Burney's Main Street at 2,500, many holding U.S. flags and banners. Roads died July 10, 2010, while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
