Havas Luxe and Havas Event produced L'Oreal's Closing Gala Dinner of the 2015 Consumer Goods Forum in New York City. The event took place at Pier 60 and was inspired by the New York Skyline, the energy of the city and its musical talents.
As guests entered and walked the red carpet, they were welcomed by the vocals of "The Late Show's" Gospel Choir. During the cocktail reception, held both inside and out on the terrace overlooking the Hudson River, guests mingled while being serenaded with jazz hits performed by Dandy Wellington and His Band. The main dining room was hidden by large doors covered in imagery of the iconic Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges. The choir gathered guests to witness the reveal of the dining room at which point the doors were lifted and the choir led guests inside the space. Once inside, guests got a first look at the stage set at the front of the room which boasted a 250 foot projection of the New York Skyline.
After dinner guests were treated to a Broadway spectacle entitled "One Night Only" which was specially curated for the event. The show, led by a French Cabaret character, was a compilation of Broadway's hit musicals including Jersey Boys, Grease, Phantom of the Opera, Footloose and more. Upon the conclusion of the Broadway portion, the Cabaret introduced "The Queen of Soul" Aretha Franklin who performed an intimate show of her top hits and a beautiful tribute on the piano. After the grand finale, guests were invited once again onto the terrace to witness a firework show over the Hudson River choreographed to a live rendition of 'Empire State of Mind' by the leads of "One Night Only". The evening was filled with surprises and entertainment which made for an unforgettable event.
