To commemorate the 70th anniversaries of D-Day and V-J Day, American Portfolios is proud to have partnered with non-profit organization Honor Flight Long Island to capture stories of surviving WWII Veteran heroes. The Silent Strength video series, which began in 2014, will continue throughout 2015, bringing viewers fascinating, first-hand accounts from a generation of veterans who served both European and Pacific tours of duty in one of the deadliest wars in history.

Mr. Barnes relates the compelling story of an interrogation of a surrendered German POW conducted by himself, his superior in command and a re-assigned Soviet Army intelligence officer. During the interrogation, Barnes intervenes to stop a war crime from being committed.
