Volunteer divers Martin McClellan, Steve Millington, Peter Fulks and Trevor Fulks install a depth, temperature and visibility monitoring station at D.L. Bliss State Park in Lake Tahoe. Instruments at the station displaying depth and temperature, and an array of placards used to measure visibility will help establish baseline conditions for this part of the lake and help understand the environmental issues effecting Lake Tahoe's water clarity in the "Nearshore" zone. Located in shallow water at this popular dive spot, this station will give recreational divers the opportunity to participate as "citizen scientists" and gather important baseline data from this location.
