Insitu is a non-profit space for contemporary art in Berlin, founded in November 2012 by the curators Marie Graftieaux, Nora Mayr and Gilles Neiens and was enlarged 2014 by the participation of the curator Lauren Reid. Nora Mayr (born 1982) has been realizing different curatorial projects since 2008 and coordinated the International Studio Programm at the Künstlerhaus Bethanien for three years. Lauren Reid (born 1983) is an
independent curator and Coordinator at Node Center for Curatorial Studies. Currently they are specifically interested in artistic positions which are challenging traditional forms of encounter between art work and audience or are busy with creating specific atmospheres. Additionally they are working around the topic of fictional characters and are interested in artists which are focused on topics of identity and personality.
