OK this one is a bit silly. Simply my Flip camera strapped to my cycle (thumbnail image) and filmed most of my way home from work. Got the idea when I read London has just opened a "bike highway" (Inhabitat, inhabitat.com/2010/07/19/londons-bicycle-superhighway-opens-today/). I'm cycling to work and back every day along an actual highway.
Basic stats (according to Android MyTracks): Distance 7 km, average moving speed 28 km/h, max speed 47 km/h. Weather: sunny with few clouds, about 25 degrees Celcius and about 5 m/s wind directly against me. Approximate beginning coordinates: 55.75N; 12.45E, end coordinates 55.70N, 12.52E.
Camera attached with office tape (audible), cushioned with two pieces of rubber and some cloth. Compressed and resized in Avidemux. Google Maps screenshot and MyTracks stats made with Android and changed to video using Kdenlive. So it's also a learning process - future videos will be fancier ;-)
I'm hoping this video will become at least as popular as the train programme on German TV!
