BreaCan is a unique information and support service for people affected by breast cancer or a gynaecological cancer throughout Victoria. This short video explains, through the words of women living with a cancer diagnosis, staff and health professionals, what BreaCan is all about.
As a service of Women's Health Victoria, BreaCan provides an opportunity for women to connect and speak with trained peer support volunteers, who have personally experienced cancer themselves or cared for someone who has. BreaCan offers women a holistic support and information service that works in tandem with their medical treatment and existing supports.
The BreaCan Resource Centre is located at the Queen Victoria Women's Centre, 210 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, where women can access information, participate in group programs and share their experiences with other women.
