This video shows a test 3d model built using low level aerial photographs taken using a kite to lift a camera. This was then processed using Agrisoft PhotoScan. This test was carried out to see if the software was suitable for modelling archaeological landscapes and features.
Being cheap and easy to use this looks like a very useful tool to use on community projects.
