All creature animation done by me in Poseur, Cari (I.L.M. proprietary animation tools) and Maya.
At the start of the show I was lucky enough to work in layout. I rough blocked shots in Poseur and then handed them off to other animators to finish, essentially giving them a first pass animation. It gave me a lot of creative input and was helpful in meeting a tight production schedule. I started roughly 45-50 shots this way. Once the entire film was rough blocked, I moved back to animation and finished about 15 shots. These were some of the shots I blocked in and finished myself.
A challenging and complex project with a lot of responsibility for me, Van Helsing was a real high note in my time at I.L.M.
