Ajahn Sucitto is a pioneer of Western Buddhism. He has participated in the establishment of the first oversees branches in the tradition of Ajahn Chah, Cittaviveka & Amaravati Monastery near London in the early 1980ies. Later he was the abbot of Cittaviveka Monastery for 22 years, taking on the difficult responsibility to serve as the formal teacher (Ācariya) for numerous newly ordained monks & nuns.
Our whole community of practitioners at Dhammagiri has benefited tremendously from the knowledge and wisdom Tan Ajahn has aquired in about 40 years as a monk, which he was happy to share most generously during his visit.
