The film itself is based around a simple question: How does one guarantee that they can trust someone else? In this case, a confused young man has taken a woman hostage after killing her boyfriend. He cannot simply let her go; nor can he bring himself to cause her harm and thereby secure his freedom.
As the story unfolds the two characters draw closer to each other until their fates are permanently intertwined.
