While an artist burns the midnight oil in his studio, his imagination flows out of his mind, filling up the rooms of the house with his fantasy world.
Each scene is a combination of several layers of pencil and pen hand drawings, which were scanned and put through Photoshop filters. The compositing, animation and extra effects such as lens blurs and particles were done in Motion. They were then put together and cut in Final Cut Pro, while the sound design was done in Soundtrack Pro.
The body parts of the "artist" character are made up of scrunched up black cardboard paper, which were individually scanned and similarly put through Photoshop filters. They were assembled to form a human figure in Motion.
Made during my 3rd year of Bachelor of Fine Arts at UNSW College of Fine Arts (COFA), now known as UNSW Art & Design. This was shown at the The COFA Annual 2006.
