I have updated the Frankie rig to work in Blender 2.5 (Alpha 2 and newer)
as the 2.4X version was broken in Blender 2.5
I also updated a few features to make using the rig easier
Bone Layer - It now uses bone layer UI as per the Sintel Rig design
Visibility - I added several Mask Modifiers and created an operator to turn the body parts on/off when you need
IK Sliders - The panel above the rig is gone, the sliders now live in the UI
Eyes - just so you know the shape correction on the eyes is set-up differently (hooked them up to different bone driver as a work around to get it working)
Foot Roll - I removed the script that controlled the Foot Roll Pivot, this is now a python expression

DID NOT FIX:
The Spine pivot - I could not get the spine pivot working in the rig yet. The original python script is still in the file, if anyone can think of a way to get this feature working let me know and I will update the rig.
I could not use the Sintel way of changing the pivot as his legs are too short.
Can you use old actions from 2.4X and earlier?
Yes you can!!
You cannot append the action to this file straight out.
Firstly, open your old file in 2.5 - this will convert the animation data > then save it.
open Frankie 2.5.3 then append your action and viola - it will work
