19. augustil 1839. aastal tutvustati Pariisis avalikkusele esimest laiemalt levinud fotomenetlust - dagerrotüüpiat. Video näitab, kuivõrd tundlik on dagerrotüüp välistele mõjudele: väiksemgi puudutus võib töötlemata ja vormistamata hõbeplaadilt kujutise minema pühkida.
The daguerreotype was the first successful photographic process in the history of photography. On August 19, 1839 the process was officially released to the public in Paris. This video demonstrates the fragility of daguerreotype. The plate without special treatment and a protective housing is very vulnerable to chemical deterioration as well as physical damage.
