The Abu Dhabi International Research and Development Conference & Exhibition (ADRAC) is the first dedicated International Research & Technology Development (R&D) Conference and Exhibition in the Middle East for the Oil & Gas industry. It aims to interconnect the R&D Community and present the latest R&D findings (from Research, Technology Developments to Emerging Technologies), strategies and initiatives in the Energy world.
It has been held since 2012 and in 2015 was considered the biggest Oil and Gas R&D conference and exhibition in the World.
The project is objectives deliver a qualitative benefit of having under the same roof both Academia and Industry to present and discuss the latest R&D finding and concerns providing the opportunity to:

ADRAC BACKGROUND AND HISTORY
ADRAC started as an annual event in a small conference room in Park Rotana, Abu Dhabi with 200 attendees and grow from year to year due to the engagement and interest of the R&D Community. In 2015 ADNOC decided to The previous ADRAC edition (4th edition) was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from May 24 – 26 2015, gathering the foremost minds on energy R&D from Academia and Industry with a scope of facilitating knowledge exchange and collaboration to identify new turnkey solutions for the Oil & Gas industry’s challenges.
ADRAC 2015 edition (4th edition) started with a speech from H.E. Abdulla Nasser Al-Suwaidi for more than 1,000 attendees. The Opening Ceremony proceed with the speech of ADRAC 2015 Chairman (Mr. Yasser Saeed Al Mazrouei) followed by one of the world’s most respected thought leaders on Innovation in the 21st century (according to Forbes), Mr. Rowan Gibson.
ADRAC 2015 was held in ADNEC as a three-day event driven by an Exhibition from Academia to Industry, an Open Ceremony, 4 Research & Development Awards, a CTO Summit with world-renowned leaders (special guest Mr. Mike Phillips, Head Simulation Systems, McLaren Applied Technologies), 3 Plenary Sessions with several International speakers, 34 Technical Posters and 37 Technical Presentations selected by almost 100 subject matter experts.
