Short Dhammatalk on Āsālha, the full moon day in July, which commemorates the Buddha's teaching of his first discourse, the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta. Ajahn makes the point that we are not passively enmeshed in suffering somehow imposed on us externally, but that the defilements in our heart, craving & clinging, continuously generate suffering. If this process of producing suffering is stopped, that in itself is the immediate end of all Dukkha.
