a short film by Eugen Bräunig
Sophia is a 15-year old girl growing up in suburban America. This short film takes us on her journey into adulthood– with all the joys, woes and dichotomies. We visit her at home and have a soda, run with her into the woods by the High School close to her house, get lost in colorful fog and dance through empty streets at night. Part choreography and part improvisation Sophia's dance reveals the girl she is and the young woman she is becoming. The title of the film refers to a quote by Irish poet William Butler Yeats. He said, “There are no strangers here; Only friends you haven’t yet met.” In that spirit, go ahead and make a new friend.
