Ngangu biik: Hear, Understand Country, produced by Indigenous visual artist Mandy Nicholson and Wurundjeri Senior Elder Aunty Diane Kerr, was displayed on the Signal screens in Northbank from August 14 to 22, 2015.
Experience Wurundjeri's living culture with Senior Elder Aunty Diane Kerr. This journey is depicted through projection imagery and audio of her Mother Tongue, Woiwurrung. This event also celebrated the unveiling of her ceremonial walert-walert (possum skin cloak).
It tell the story of an Elder's dreams for the future of her people. Images show her connection to ceremony on Country and in a city scape, all being interwoven by her walert-walert.
