Prairie du Chien, WI - August 30, 2015 - Several cars of a 139 car freight train carrying corn destined for Iowa derailed on a spur near the waste water treatment plant today at approximately 6 p.m.
A section of road-bed, about 5 foot in length washed out, and seems to be the reason for the derailment. One car was laying on its side, and several others were completely off the rails. A quantity of corn was spilled on both sides of the tracks.
