'Do you see me?' a short documentary by Alison Glennie, which aims to challenge stereotypical views of disability. This project had it's genesis in the workshop which followed the first festival screening of 'On the Pig's Back' a short comedy also produced and directed by Alison, which featured a cast of adults with intellectual disability, supported by Cope Foundation. cope-foundation.ie
The subsequent workshop was designed to document feedback from the cast. Their positive responses and innate understanding of the gains experienced through the process of film making, led the director to pose the question "How would you wish the world to see you?" The actors responses formed the basis of this documentary, which includes diverse members of our community.
