The video collage shows material from the music video for TuPac Shakur’s song „Keep Ya Head Up“ as broadcasted in 1993 in the USA. It was and is common practice that footage of people presented as the artist’s crew go with the hook line (i.e. the chorus) in hip hop music videos. To give the beholder an impression of who these people are in the TuPac-video, the song’s complete hook line footage features in this collage. The TuPac-shots alternate with Hookline-footage from the two top ranking hip hop videos of 1993, namely Hip Hop Hooray (artist: Naughty by Nature) and Nuthin But A G Thang (artists: Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre).
Then, the collage shows shots selected in case they depicted women. The shots are shown separately and are sorted by the scenario in which they appear. Again, shots from “Keep Ya Head Up” alternate with footage from
Hip Hop Hooray and Nuthin But A G Thang.
