Evan Gardner, creator of Where Are Your Keys (WAYK), explains Techniques (TQs) that are used in “language hunting,” or pulling language out of fluent speakers, including Set Up, Bite-Sized Piece, Limit, Obviously, and Prove It. These are all primarily Techniques for immersion, which allow you to successfully hunt language using props or people without asking for translations from English. Evan also gives advice on when, where, and how to (and how not to) hunt language, the props and TQs you can use along the way, and how you can use hunting sessions to document language.
