The Chesapeake Bay Foundation attaches baby oysters called "spat" onto reef balls and submerges them in underwater sanctuaries around the Chesapeake Bay watershed so they can mature into full-grown oysters. The nonprofit's efforts complement a larger-scale oyster restoration program run by the state of Maryland. Video by News21's Brian Hooks.
