On April 2, 2010 The Good Neighborhood, Asakivle, and Pearl Street Grill & Brewery, teamed up with six Western NY musicians in Buffalo NY to support a continuing effort toward the reconstruction of earthquake devastated Haiti.
The Good Neighborhood is a Buffalo-based company that pairs performers with common causes to create gatherings for the common good.
Asakivle -Friends of Haiti is a local organization that has long been dedicated to fundraising and participating in the building of educational facilities, clean water filtration systems , and agricultural sustainability in rural Haiti.
For this event Franck Desire (founder of Asakivle) collaborated with Seamus Gallivan (founder of The Good Neighborhood) to pull together a “One Drop” reggae band including:
Featuring: Emile Latimer, Eric Crittenden, Lazlo Hollyfeld drummer Matt Felski, Peanut Brittle Satellite bassist Ian Machniak and guitarist Zack Mikida, along with Syracuse-based vocalist Amy Ryan.
