The Culture Quarter Programme is a pilot project being undertaken by a partnership of high profile arts and creative organisations across London who are keen to invest in the sector’s future workforce. They are Create KX, Design Council, English National Opera, Exhibition Road Cultural Group, The Hospital Club, National Portrait Gallery, the Royal Opera House, Somerset House, St Martin-in-the-fields and the V&A Museum.

It runs from April 2010 – March 2011 and offers 68 opportunities for unemployed 18 to 24 year olds to gain paid employment and training at one of the participating organisations. Training includes an accredited work-based qualification, a personal development programme and a series of master classes led by experts from the creative sector.

During July 2010 the participants on the Programme worked collaboratively across their organisations using their own artistic skills and those they developed on their jobs to create, launch and staff a temporary art exhibition in an empty shop unit in the Seven Dials area of Covent Garden.

This film was one of the pieces in the exhibition. It showcases the area of Seven Dials in seven short films, one on each of the seven roads coming off the Seven Dials monument, made by seven of the CQP participants.
