In December 2009 I accompanied a journalist friend of mine on a job in remote East Laos. We visited very remote and poor hmong villages. Most of the children had never met a fair skinned blonde Scandinavian like myself, much less seen a camera. Very raw and wonderful emotions were captured in this incredibly beautiful part of the world.
I captured a lot of stills and some video and decided to try and cut it together. This is my first serious attempt at creating a movie and really only baby steps, I have so much to learn in the filming and editing. Filmed entirely on Canon 5D Mk II and Canon L lenses. Edited in Adobe Premiere. Music is by David Byrne, The Last Emperor.
