Filmed in collaboration with Muna A-Q as part of the Free Cinema School at the Serpentine Gallery, run by the collective no.w.here.
We were asked to respond to area around the Serpentine Gallery’s Edgware Road education space, so we ventured up the road towards Hyde Park.
We decided to loosely base our film on some of Chauncey’s writings about public space as well as trying to capture private, intimate moments between people in these spaces. It is odd how people can become so entranced in the company of another in such a public space, they almost forget that other people are there. These images were then layered with super 8 shots of the dreamlike, surreal park that these people are so lost in.
