This is a pretty simple tutorial that shows a technique for creating a certain type of geodesic dome within Cinema 4D.
In this tutorial, you'll learn how to use a capsule primitive rather than a sphere as your base structure so you can independently control horizontal and vertical (or U vs. V) subdivisions, triangulate those subdivisions, and then melt away the unnecessary edges to create the "spiral" vertical brace-shapes. If it doesn't make sense, well, then you should just watch it!
