Dr. Doudou Diène
Former UN Rapporteur on the Middle East, Senegal
Dr. Doudou Diène is the Former Director of the Division of Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue at UNESCO. In this capacity, he initiated and was responsible for various major projects, such as, the Silk Roads, Slave Routes, Routes of Faiths and Al-Andalus. He was the Special Rapporteur at the United Nations Commission on Human Rights from (2002-2008) concerning contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance. He currently serves as the Vice-President of the Scientific Board of the International Research Institute on Civilization Policy and as President of the Board of the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience.
